LAURA BERNINI

I was born in Rome, and after completing my classical secondary school diploma I moved to Perugia where I gained a degree in Agricultural and Forest Sciences. Following several years spent working in Umbria and Modena I was offered the opportunity to manage a winery in Montepulciano.

During nine years of corporate work I gained extensive professional and first hand experience, devoting myself to agricultural vineyard management, and the production and marketing of wine.

In 1999 I became a freelance viticultural agronomist in various designation of origin production areas in Tuscany and Umbria comprising Brunello di Moltalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Morellino di Scansano, Chianti, Monteregio di Massa Marittima, Montecucco, Orcia and Sagrantino di Montefalco. This ‘solitary’ work, though exciting through contact with different areas and producers, lacked something that would later materialize after meeting Andrea and Danny in 2001.

I had no hesitation in deciding that these were the people I wanted to work with. We have the same goals, our specific professional skills have provided a major contribution, and our personal compatibility enabled us to launch something more than a simple work team, and that is Aminea. Time has proved me right.

Within Aminea I deal with the viticulture management of the companies, training, assessment of staff work, assistance during the critical stages of the harvest in both the countryside and wine cellars, organizing "Aminea Day", and I also evaluate the oenological results of the vintage.
